Calypso-Rose

Though she was barely able to walk because of gout, Calypso Rose was still able to woo her audience, as Brooklyn paid tribute to the Tobago-born singer who “broke the glass ceiling” in the calypso genre.

“Every woman you see singing calypso today is because of Calypso Rose,” added Pysadee at the event organized by the Brooklyn-based Dee Vee International Productions, Continue reading

Quote of the Day

22 Dec

Infuse your life with action. Don’t wait for it to happen. Make it happen. Make your own future. Make your own hope. Make your own love. And whatever your beliefs, honor your creator, not by passively waiting for grace to come down from upon high, but by doing what you can to make grace happen… yourself, right now, right down here on Earth.
